


To elevate yourself above your people, it doesn't hurt to use blunt metaphors.
The Red Dais was almost more imposing than the emperor himself. The physical chair of the throne was removable. Sitting might imply that the business of his reign was lazy and tired, a view he was not keen to reinforce. His reign eventually ended, as they all do. The kingdom fractured, fell away, but the dais remained more or less intact, a fading reminder of power long passed.
I sculpted this first in Adobe Medium and quickly brought it raw into Unreal, where I vertex painted on some personal materials & megascans to bring it to life.
